Day 1: Arrival in Moshi/Arusha
Welcome to Tanzania! Upon your arrival in Moshi or Arusha, your friendly safari guide will greet you, and you’ll be transferred to your comfortable lodge to relax and rejuvenate after your journey. Take in the sights and sounds of Tanzania, and prepare for the adventure that lies ahead.
Day 2: Tarangire National Park
Your safari will begin with a pick-up at 8 AM from your hotel in Moshi or Arusha. Head towards Tarangire National Park, known for its diverse landscapes and abundant wildlife. Embark on a game drive through the park, spotting ancient Baobab trees and a variety of animals, including elephants, giraffes, lions, and zebras. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the game drive. After an eventful day, return to your camp or lodge for a delicious dinner and a good night’s sleep.
Day 3: Tarangire – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, set out toward the world-famous Serengeti National Park. Travel through the vast plains and immerse yourself in the breathtaking scenery. The Serengeti is renowned for the “Big 5” and offers an incredible population of lions and leopards. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the game drive as you explore the central part of the park. Day 4: North Serengeti National Park
Spend a full day exploring the northern region of the Serengeti, where the migration might be present from mid-June to September. Witness the dramatic river crossing of the great migration at the Mara River, a spectacle of nature you’ll never forget. Observe the wildebeests’ brave attempts to cross the river while facing the dangers of lurking crocodiles. Day 5: North Serengeti to Central Serengeti
Today, you’ll continue your journey from the northern Serengeti toward the central part of the park. Enjoy the en-route game drive as you traverse through different terrains, from hills to plains. The central Serengeti, known as the Seronera area, is one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park. Look out for numerous lion pride and the iconic Serengeti “Kopjes” – massive boulders of granite that provide shelter for various flora and fauna.
